Alumni, Family and Friends
The Active Citizen Network (ACN) is a civic society of SNHU alumni who made community service an integral part of their education at SNHU and continue to commit themselves to be active and involved citizens as graduates. ACN selects and publicly recognizes these alumni and graduating seniors for their dedication to improving the local community and world around them.
As part of the ACN you will be among civic-minded alumni; you will be able to learn from, network, and continue to grow within the SNHU community, resulting in your ability to make a greater and stronger impact in the communities in which you work and play. Read more about the ACN in Impact magazine.
Induction benefits
We encourage you to fill out this application so you can help us build this new network! You will hear from one of the staff members from The Chandler Center once all applications are reviewed. If selected, you'll receive a welcome package, official certificate and be invited to upcoming member meetings.
At The Chandler Center we envision a campus where all students are civically engaged and committed to social action. We work to meet this vision every day by creating and sustaining service and leadership opportunities for students that focus on civic engagement.
The Center was created in 2005, largely in response to growing student interest in service. Student leadership is at the core of the Center's management with students coordinating the majority of the initiatives with the guidance of professional staff.
The Center's fundamental purpose is to engage and empower students to be active citizens. There are many ways to get involved in the work of our Center- from getting a job with us to volunteering to take a service-learning class to traveling with our alternative break program!
