Event Details: Friday, Apr. 27, 2018 - Sunday, Apr. 30, 2018 | ANYTIME | City Nature Challenge (Global)
Learn More: Which city will document the most nature? The City Nature Challenge 2018 is an international bioblitz event that will help us find out! Cities across the globe are asking residents of and visitors to these urban areas to explore nature all around them and document the species they find. You'll upload your photos to the iNaturalist.app. Your observations may be vetted as Research Grade and shared with scientists working to better understand biodiversity and protect nature.
Building on the success of last year's national City Nature Challenge, the event has been expanded internationally in 2018. In 2017, over 124,000 observations were logged by over 4,000 participants, representing almost 9,000 species, including 3,077 new species being documented to iNaturalist for the first time! How many observations of nature will the world make in 2018?
