Event Details: Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. | Hy-line Cruises Ferry Dock (220 Ocean Street, Hyannis, MA 02601)
Learn More: Nantucket Island is 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, and thousands of pounds of trash wash up on beaches around the island every year. The trash must be manually removed before the current washes it back into the ocean, where it endangers wildlife.
Participants in this event will meet at the Hy-line Cruises ferry dock in Hyannis, MA on Saturday, April 21st at 8:00 a.m. to catch the 9:05 a.m. ferry to the island. A round-trip ticket will need to be purchased from Hy-Line Cruises. Please select the following options:
On-island transportation will be provided by trusted, licensed locals from the ferry to Sconset Beach. This is why we ask everyone to select the same travel time. Cleanup materials, including trash bags and rubber gloves, will be provlded, as well as a bagged lunch. Snacks and drinks will also be provided.
We encourage you to dress appropriately for the elements, including hats, sunscreen, proper and comfortable footwear, etc.
Parking fees vary slightly but expect at least a $12.00 fee.
This event will take place rain or shine.
An opportunity to explore downtown Nantucket will be provided if all participants are interested.
