SNHU 2016 Business Indicator Series

2016 Business Indicator Series

The Changing Business Landscape of NH

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Know the Topic

Join a conversation on New Hampshire’s changing business landscape, led by industry experts who will help us explore some of the challenges facing our state: how to recruit a younger workforce, develop business and industry, and address the aging consumer demographic. This session will serve as an opportunity to share ideas with other change-makers and to network with those who are already working toward solutions to these complex issues.

Meet the Experts

Derek Barka ‘01, Director of Engineering at SilverTech

Derek Barka is an experienced engineering manager, software architect, and project lead. Derek was successful in utilizing his team building skills and       industry expertise to grow the software engineering team by over 200%, remaining a driving force within the team that brought SilverTech many of the technical successes the company has achieved to date. Derek is passionate about improving the greater Manchester community through community service and mentoring.

Lydia Foley ‘07, Broker & Owner of Purple Finch Properties

Lydia Foley has been a realtor since 2010. Her experience in sales, customer   service, and community involvement has propelled her into her current role as broker & owner of Purple Finch Properties in Nashua, NH. As a real estate agent, her attention will always be focused on the needs of her clients and providing personal and knowledgeable service.

Alex Horton, Owner of Café la Reine

Alexandra Horton opened Café la Reine in 2013 after seeing a need for a community focused coffee house in downtown Manchester. Alex is a member of the Board of Directors for Manchester Young Professionals Network, a member of the Board of Trustees for Intown Manchester, and serves on the Downtown Committee for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Union Leader’s 2015 “40 Under Forty” & Leadership Greater Manchester Class of 2016.

Kate Luczko ‘12G, President & CEO of Stay Work Play NH

Kate Luczko is the President & CEO of Stay Work Play NH, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the organization. She has been recognized as a young leader by multiple organizations including the Union Leader’s 2011 “40 Under Forty” and most recently as one of Business NH Magazine’s 2014 “5 Leaders for the Future”. Kate is passionate about being involved in the community, serving on multiple Boards and volunteering throughout the state.

Continue the Conversation

We can't decide what we love more about the Business Indicator Series... the discussion at the event, or all the networking we see. Either way, we invite you to continue your conversations with contacts new and old by accessing the directory of registrants and attendees. Please note: just like with the Alumni Directory, you'll need to log in with your SNHU Alumni Online Community username and password to access this contact information.

Thank you to our generous sponsor for making this event possible!
