The HC Lake Project Cleanup – Hale Center, TX 

What went down: Volunteers showed some love to Caudle Lake with spring cleaning projects that included picking trash and litter in the area. Site leader Kristin said "Global Days of Service was a complete success for The HC Lake Project Cleanup. Since one side of the lake was completely dried out, we started there, to better assist wildlife for a potential lake restock. Between the three of us we managed to fill six bags of trash. Trash in the lake can harm wildlife through entanglement, ingestion, and habitat destruction, not only that but trash takes away from the natural beauty of the lake. I'm glad we were able to give back to the community and better the environment at the same time!"
