Scranton mother and son graduate together

SCRANTON (WOLF) — On this Mother’s Day, we’re highlighting one Scranton mom who recently graduated with her son from the same university

Tara Conrad, a mother of four, recently earned her master of Fine Arts online from Southern New Hampshire University at the same time her son, George completed his MBA program.

Tara also has some words of advice for mothers who dream of completing their degree.

"Go for it, if you have a dream go for it. It’s difficult, there’s gonna be some days that you’re going to tell yourself, you’re crazy and you don’t know why in the world you started this but even us as moms we have dreams and we can accomplish them its even more fun when we do it next to our kids," said Tara Conrad.

Tara is a striving literary author who just got her first publishing contact, while her son George hopes to advance his career within the insurance company he works for.
