Career Closet Pop-up Store: Donations Needed
The Chandler Center and The Career & Professional Development Center will be hosting a Career Closet Pop-up Store, an initiative designed to help our students look and feel their best as they step into the professional world. Donations of gently used professional attire (suits, blouses, shirts, pants, skirts, and ties) are needed and will be provided to students at no cost. Items must be clean and in good condition. All sizes and styles are welcome, as we strive to offer a diverse selection that meets the needs of all students. Items can also be purchased directly from the Amazon Wish List.
Donations can be dropped off at The Chandler Center (Belknap Hall, Room 120); The Career & Professional Development Center (Gustafson Center, 1st floor); and The Millyard between 8 am-4:30 pm (3rd floor, near security desk) until Sept. 19. Questions? Please contact serve@snhu.edu.
Take Back the Night Thursday, Oct. 2 | 4-7 pm | Kingston Green Space, SNHU
Join the Deborah L. Coffin Women’s Center for a reimagined Take Back the Night event. The festival style experience will celebrate safety, community, and empowerment. As you make your way through various interactive and educational stations, you’ll have the opportunity to learn valuable information in a fun and impactful way. No registration required.
Nominations are open for TEDxSNHU 2026!
Our 4th annual TEDxSNHU event is happening in February 2026. This year’s theme will be shaped by the powerful stories and ideas shared through the submissions from our community. Consider nominating a compelling speaker from SNHU to bring forward a unique perspective or an idea worth spreading. You may also nominate yourself and strive to join other SNHU alum who have participated in this rewarding process. Please complete the nomination survey by Oct. 12. Carnita Burnett '17, of Euless, Texas, under the pen name C.R. Burnett, published her inaugural book Ghost Protocol: Dating in the New Millennium, a collection of 12 fictional short stories that began as her capstone thesis project while attending SNHU in Feb. 2025. The official book launch took place on June 7. Professor Daniel Gleason was acknowledged as inspiring her to take on the work of short fiction and was mentioned in the acknowledgment section of the book along with SNHU.
Danielle Kireyczyk '10, of Vero Beach, Florida, opened REsistance Spin & Strength in Vero Beach in February 2025.
Richard Moran '71, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, got his first hole-in-one while playing golf on July 11 at Squirrel Run Club and was witnessed by 2 of his golf buddies. He was awarded a medal and his name will be added to the Hole-in-One Hall of Fame wall at the golf club. His name will also be listed in the National Hole-in-One Registry. A very exciting day.
Tim Sawyer '14, of Crestview Hills, Kentucky, was selected to join CyberArk’s Experts Council to provide additional support to CyberArk’s customers.
Cassandra Wade '23, of Tucker, Georgia, published her book Divinity In Motion: When He Calls in June 2025.
