What I like most about SNHU is the sense of community that every student can share with one another; how such a large campus can have a small campus feel.
Scholarships and financial aid allow me to focus more on studying and working hard for my degree rather than focusing on the financials and stressing whether I can attend the university or not.
I would like to say thank you to the kind people who support and donate to student scholarships. I appreciate everything you guys put together to enable more students around the world.
I chose SNHU because of it's small community, and large student body. I liked that I could have lots of friends, but still not know everyone on campus.
My hope in receiving a college education is to be able to make a difference in the world. I was nervous going into college at first, but after I put a lot of effort into my first year I learned that I can be successful as long as I push myself.
I currently don't have a dream job, but the reason I chose to go into hospitality was my love for meeting people and helping people. If I can make an impact on someone else's day then that makes my day better as well.
I think my hospitality professor, Mr. Ryll, has had the largest impact on me and my SNHU experience. He has taught me how to be more successful in my field of business, but also as a student as well.
I have maintained a work-study job throughout my first year of campus as well as being involved in the Hospitality Club and Penmen Press.
I think the most challenging aspect of college so far has been finding time to relax and give myself a break from the all the school work. I deal with this by focusing on large tasks and accomplishing them before the end of the week, so I can spend the weekends relaxing.
I think I am most proud of how much effort I have put into being successful during my first year of SNHU and I am planning and carrying that effort throughout the rest of my career. This effort allowed me to achieve President's List during both semesters and this continues to be a goal of mine.
I hope to help those looking at SNHU understand what pathways and opportunities the university offers to better themselves — not only as people, but as students as well.Back to Meet Our Students
