The main aspect I like most is that we're a tight-knit community and we have great academics that are accommodated by great faculty. Everyone here makes it an enjoyable place to be.
I'm finishing up my bachelor's degree in the fall (2022) as well as starting my master's program. Receiving scholarships makes it possible for me to further the education that I want.
Many students in college work hard. The scholarships give them a chance to get financial relief and really focus on the academic aspect. A lot of students greatly appreciate it and as for myself I can't thank the donors enough for giving me a scholarship to help support my career goals via my college degree.
The feeling I got from SNHU just felt right when I stepped onto campus for an orientation. It had the program that I wanted to pursue and it was outside of my home state, so I could try something new for myself, and be myself.
It's been everything that I've hoped for. I wanted to work in the professional sport industry and right now I'm working for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, which is affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. I'm still in college, so I have high hopes to see what I'll be doing even a year from now.
My dad was a college baseball player and I also grew up loving sports. I wanted to go to a college for business studies, so I essentially combined the two things and pursued the degree in sport management with a concentration in operations management. My dream job is to work as an operations coordinator for a professional team. I'm also considering maybe starting off in college athletics since I like the atmosphere.
Professor Beth Sheehan. I've had her as my teacher for many classes since my freshman year. She really teaches good business etiquette, which is something that I took away. She is a very knowledgeable professor with a great background in the sport management field. I really enjoyed every class that I've taken with her.
I was on the club baseball team, FBLA and Sport Management club. Right now I work for the SNHU Athletics Department on campus as a supervisor. In some of my classes I've done things like volunteer for the Special Olympics, and run events on campus like the Golden Goal Classic — which is a soccer tournament ran for kids from the Center for New Americas based out of Manchester, NH.
All the scheduling that is involved around school, my job, activities, etc. I have a monthly calendar that I write everything on, so I get a constant reminder of the things that I have coming up and can plan accordingly.
All the people that I got to meet and the connections I've made moving away from my home state. I'm also very proud of myself for pursuing the degree that I've always wanted growing up.
I hope to stay connected to SNHU by reading all the post-grad emails. Especially anything related to their athletics to stay up-to-date on how they're doing.
