I love the ease of being able to learn from home. I have had knowledgeable and caring professors. I have also made friends with people from all over. It's been a terrific experience.
The scholarship takes some of the stress off of paying for my MFA degree.
Thank you very much for your kind generosity!
SNHU offered an MFA program that I could complete from home. From the advertisements for SNHU, I also felt they cared about non-traditional students and would be a supportive environment to be a part of.
My hope was to learn to be a stronger writer, training me for a future career as an author. My classes have offered challenges in learning parts of the author career I never thought of.
My husband is my inspiration for choosing a career in writing. My dream job is to be a published novelist.
The person who influence me the most was a past professor, Max Frazier. It was before I was accepted into the MFA program. She had confidence in me and my writing, confidence I was lacking. She encouraged me to not give up on getting accepted into the MFA program. Since then she has remained a good friend, someone I am honored to have met.
The most challenging to me is setting a schedule that allows me to keep up on my schoolwork, my personal writing, and being a wife/mother. I am blessed with a supportive family who always makes sure I can get everything done.
I am very proud that I have maintained a 4.0 GPA during my time at SNHU.
I hope to one day either be a professor at SNHU or perhaps help other students in the writing center.
