"By supporting scholarships, you are helping to break down financial barriers and ensure that deserving students, regardless of their background or circumstances, can access higher education."

What do you like most about SNHU?

The ease of building connections with professors and recognizing everyone who is in your class. The professors have made this school outstanding in my eyes. Their care for students and unwavering support of my academic journey is something I will always be thankful for.

How do the scholarships and financial aid you receive make it possible for you to attend SNHU? Specifically, how have scholarships made a difference?

The most significant impact that scholarships have made on my academic journey is bridging the gap between the cost of tuition and what my parents can pay out of pocket. With the financial support from scholarships, I am able to focus more on my studies and extracurricular activities without the constant worry about how much my parents are investing in my education. This will allow me to fully immerse myself in my academic pursuits and take advantage of all that SNHU has to offer.

What would you say to those who donate to support student scholarships?

Thank you... you will always be seen as a hero in my eyes. As a Wolak Learning Center peer educator, I am also a mentor for many students who come in to seek support from us. One of their constant worries and struggles is financing their education. Your donations have a profound impact beyond financial assistance. They empower students to pursue their academic goals, unlock their potential, and contribute meaningfully to society. By supporting scholarships, you are helping to break down financial barriers and ensure that deserving students, regardless of their background or circumstances, can access higher education.

Why did you choose Southern New Hampshire University?

Growing up in a small town, I always loved the close tight knit feel of community. It gave me a sense of pride as people took the time to get to know one another in the community, and I always knew there would be someone in my corner that could give me a hand without expecting anything in return. When I was on a hunt to choose a college, I knew that I wanted something like that small town feel. I wanted a school that had support and resources, and I wanted a school where I could recognize familiar faces all around campus. When I came across SNHU during my search, I had a sense of that small town, community feel. The first time I walked around campus, I noticed there were students of all diverse backgrounds who had come together to embark on a journey that would pave the way for their future. Looking at the students, faculty, and staff, I knew SNHU would be a place where I could form meaningful connections.

What was your hope in receiving a college education? How has your experience been different than what you’d imagined?

When I set out to pursue a college education, my hope was to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to build a successful career in finance. I envisioned college as a place where I could deepen my understanding of the field, make valuable connections, and develop both personally and professionally.

My experience at Southern New Hampshire University has exceeded my expectations in many ways. I imagined college would be challenging and rewarding, but I didn't anticipate the extent of the support and resources available to me. The faculty at SNHU have been incredibly supportive, providing not only academic guidance but also mentorship and career advice.

What inspired you to choose your area of study? What is your dream job?

My choice to go into this program was based on my passion for mathematics and my mother's success in creating her own business. The bridge between business and math ultimately lead me to choose finance as my major as I knew it would provide me the essential tools for decision-making, analytical thinking, teamwork, and confidence in individual work. My dream job is to become a professor. I have always been fascinated by the transformative power of education and the impact that dedicated educators can have on their students. Becoming a professor would allow me to contribute to the academic community and inspire future generations of learners. Additionally, the mentorship aspect of being a professor is incredibly appealing to me. Helping students navigate their academic and professional paths, supporting their development, and witnessing their achievements would be immensely rewarding. My own professors have had a significant influence on my life, and I aspire to make a similar impact on others.

In what ways have you been involved at SNHU (campus organizations, job, sports, etc.)?

I was Vice President of Finance for the Student Government Association and am a peer educator for the Wolak Learning Center.

What are you proudest of?

My ability to persevere through the challenges and hardships that have been brought upon me through my higher education journey.
