Name: Arooj Saeed
Class of: 2022
Program: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science w/ a concentration in Software Engineering
SNHU has made my dreams a reality. After completing my classes at the community college, I never thought I would be able to go on to do bachelor's degree. However, after enrolling in SNHU, I started believing in myself. The thing that I like most about SNHU is the flexibility to study along with daily life.
As I pursue my degree in software engineering at SNHU, I will need funds to help pay for my tuition. A lot of women with families end up quitting their educational goals because they don't have money and time to support it all. I'm trying my best to get my bachelor's degree in computer science and give my best to my family. By receiving this scholarship I can pursue my educational goals and take care of my family.
I'm sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient of this scholarship. Thank you for your generosity, which has allowed me to continue my education — especially during the COVID pandemic. As I complete my education at SNHU, I'm very thankful for receiving your thoughtful gift. Because of this scholarship, I will be able to successfully pursue my educational goals and give my best to my family. Thank you again for your donations!
SNHU helps clear my path towards building my dreams.
I never thought I would be able to get my bachelor's degree in computer science. SNHU has helped cleared a path, so I can pursue my goal.
I'm very passionate about pursuing a career in computer science. I'm already a part of my college STEM program. I want to learn, live, and study for technology. I want to prove women and men are equals in the technology world. By pursuing my degree, I will focus broadly on women in technology and work to enhance their presence in technology.
The person who supports and guides me most at SNHU is my advisor, Angela Trachimowicz. She not only advises me on which classes to take, but also checks in every two weeks on how these classes going. Moreover, she is always available via email or phone. She supports me in my educational decisions and motivates me to keep continuing on the path towards my dreams. Secondly, Professor Tarik was the nicest professor I have ever had — very accommodating to my needs and helped me whenever I got stuck.
I'm a part of the SNHU connect community. I also applied for SNHU student jobs.
The most challenging thing is to prioritize work and daily activities. I like to schedule my time on daily basis, that way I'm able to complete things ahead of time.
I'm proud of my family who supports me in pursing my dreams.
I hope to stay involved by maybe participating in some sort of SNHU newsletter.
