Virtual Career Centers for Alumni

SNHU Online Career Services introduced Career 360 recently. Career 360 is a virtual career center for alumni and students from online programs, with resume builder tools, career videos & events, job & internship recommendations, interview prep resources and more. Discover a world of opportunities with self-service resources for all career stages.

As a reminder, alumni and students from campus programs can access a similar tool known as Career Edge to learn more about upcoming events, schedule an appointment with an advisor, and discover opportunities to get involved in career-related activities.  

SNHU Recognized for Outstanding Work in the Community

SNHU, and a number of its students and employees, and alumni, has recently been recognized with honors and awards for the impact they are making in the local Manchester community. Here are a few of the recognitions:

• Granite YMCA: SNHU was awarded the Community Partner of the Year award at the Granite YMCA’s luncheon on April 19. The award recognized SNHU’s financial support of the YMCA’s fourth-grade swim safety program, the launch of the Reading Buddies volunteerism program, and the men’s basketball team leading a Basketball and Burritos program.

The YMCA also recently recognized Helena Iaquinta, user experience researcher- DEI, as a National Volunteer of the Week for her work with the YMCA. Hear more about her work in their video here.

• American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: The Chandler Center was awarded the Beacon of Hope Award from the NH chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Since students started the Out of the Darkness Walk in 2017, they have raised more than $150,000 for mental health and suicide prevention. SNHU community members participate in the annual Out of Darkness Walk as part of SNHU's Global Days of Service. This year's walk was a huge success - the students hit their goal of $20,000! 
  
  
• AmeriCorps: AmeriCorps VISTA member Justin Vanasse '22 won the Spirit of New Hampshire Award in October 2023. This award is given to one resident in New Hampshire each year who exemplifies a spirit of volunteerism. Justin was recognized for his work expanding basic needs services on campus.
  
  
• Campus Compact: Kirsten Farrell '16, assistant director, received a 20th Anniversary Award from Campus Compact for New Hampshire for her ongoing commitment to community engagement in the state. Farrell was also appointed to the Board for Volunteer NH, a state-wide organization focused on encouraging and celebrating volunteer service. 

Allison Pudvah '16, associate director of Alumni Engagement, received the Campus Compact for New Hampshire 2024 Presidents’ Good Steward Award, which is presented to a member of the faculty, administration or staff member who has contributed their professional expertise in service to the wider community and who has significantly advance public service on their campus.
 
Paige McNamara '24 was presented with one of the Campus Compact for New Hampshire 2024 Presidents’ Leadership Awards given to a student who has made outstanding contributions to community service, service learning and/or civic engagement on their campus.

• SNHU Award: Beau Spillane '24 won Student Employee of the Year at SNHU for his work in the Chandler Center.
  
  
• National Student Employment Association: Chloe Duchesneau '24 won the National Student Employee of the Year Award in the Community Service category. You can see all of the 2024 winners here.

SNHU Internal Sales Competition 2024

"I'm going to see some magic today," instructor, alum, and leader of the SNHU Center of Professional Sales James Naro '85 said of the recent Internal Sales Competition held on campus.
