I love how in every class I get to know my professors and my peers on a personal level.
Without scholarships and financial aid, I would be taking out more loans than I could afford and would likely be paying them off for the rest of my life.
Thank you so much. Your donations to scholarship support mean more than you'll ever know to students like me.
I wanted to be close to home so that I could spend a lot of time with my friends and family.
I think my main reason for wanting a college education in psychology is to be able to help people and support them in any way that I can.
I have dealt with mental health issues my entire life, but did not always receive the support that I likely needed. I want to be able to help children and young adults in similar situations by becoming a clinical psychologist or a child psychologist.
The person at SNHU who has had the biggest impact on my experience is Professor Yussra Ebrahim. Her English course was one of the first that I took at SNHU and she set the standards very high for my other courses. She was able to show me how interconnected we are as a society whether we realize it or not.
Coming from another institution, taking a gap semester, and having only been at SNHU for two semesters now, managing my course load to still graduate in four years has been difficult. With the help of my academic advisor, professors, and the support of my family it has become much easier than I expected.
I am proudest of my mom. Without her support and encouragement I may very well not be at SNHU pursuing my dreams. I have a lot to thank her for.
I am unsure if this would ever happen, but perhaps teaching a course at SNHU in the psychology department would be one way I could stay involved with the school as an alumnus.
