Alumni, Family and Friends
The purpose of the Association is to provide support, as alumni, through leadership and commitment, to the tradition and future of the Southern New Hampshire University community and to develop and enhance alumni pride in and affinity to the university. The Association and Board of Directors are sensitive to the confidentiality rights of all members.
I, ___________________ will serve on the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association of Southern New Hampshire University for a term of _____________. As a Board of Director member, I am making a commitment to the University to carry out the responsibilities listed below. In turn, the University will provide each member with reasonable support and resources needed to accomplish these responsibilities.
To be an advocate and spokesperson for the mission of SNHU as well as maintain a charitable interest for the duration of my term.
To actively participate in events to the greatest degree possible at the main campus, satellite campuses, as well as other venues where geographically appropriate.
To be involved in planning and promoting the annual alumni reunion and to attend the event.
To attend 75% of regularly scheduled board planning meetings in person or virtual mode and to notify association leadership of my attendance. Further attendance guidelines are outlined in the Alumni Association Bylaws.
To identify and recruit SNHU alumni to engage with alumni, students and the University and enlist their financial support, when possible.
To act as a resource and mentor for the current student body in an effort to encourage future involvement.
To financially support SNHU to the best of my ability with a yearly contribution to the annual fund.
To introduce SNHU to my employer for potential engagement through educational programming, continuing education opportunities, and financial support.
To remain committed to the completion of assigned tasks.
