What Went Down: In honor of SNHU Global Days of Service, four SNHU volunteers (an alumna, two current students, and one 'future Penmen' - the daughter of one of the students) helped to sort through items donated to the Rescue Mission for use in their food kitchen and food distribution center.
Since 1958, Boise Rescue Mission Ministries has been restoring faith, hope and family across the Treasure Valley. Today, we serve the homeless and addicted of Boise, Nampa and surrounding areas from five unique locations in Ada and Canyon counties. At Boise Rescue Mission Ministries, we see homelessness in its entirety. For us, taking care of homeless men, women and children isn’t simply about addressing physical needs — food, shelter, clothing — it’s just as much about addressing mental, emotional and spiritual needs.
Share Your Story: Remember to use #ServeWithSNHU to join the movement and share your experience on social media throughout the event, and you can always give us more details on the Share My Story page. And, feel free to email photos to alumni@snhu.edu, so we can add them to the official SNHU Global Days of Service photo album on Facebook!
