The Chandler Center’s Rise Against Hunger10 am-12 pm | Alumni Hall, Gustafson Welcome Center
Join The Chandler Center for a morning of fun and community service with Rise Against Hunger, a meal packaging event! Rise Against Hunger is a non-profit organization aimed at increasing access to food and eliminating food insecurity. At this event, the SNHU community will come together to package balanced and nutritious meals that will be sent directly to individuals around the world struggling with food insecurity.
Since 2013, SNHU has done 10 events with Rise Against Hunger and packaged over 100,000 total meals! SNHU last held a Rise Against Hunger packaging event in 2022, sending needed meals to the Philippines. Learn more about how Rise Against Hunger is addressing hunger in the Philippines.

Bring a little bit of the outside in with your very own decorated pot and plant. Guided by our Makerspace staff, use one of many artistic tools to decorate a pot, add dirt, a few seeds and some water. Learn about the Makerspace and the many services it provides to the campus community.

Want to dive into the future? Head over to the School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics (SETA) and meet up with faculty who will guide you in some interactive virtual reality (VR) demonstrations. Participants will be able to explore with Google Earth.

The Akwaaba Ensemble brings West African drumming and dance to vivid life. The group's energetic and engaging performances are a reflection of their name, which means ‘Welcome‘ in the Akan language of Ghana.
