Alumni, Family and Friends
SNHU Global Days of Service is a two-month-long community service event, where alumni, students, faculty and staff come together across the globe to strengthen our communities. In 2024, more than 1,500 members of the SNHU community from five countries and 47 states completed more than 10,000 hours of service. Read the 2024 wrap-up article on the SNHU Newsroom.
At SNHU, we believe we have a responsibility to be active community members. Volunteering where we live and work offers a way to learn from one another, build community and make a positive impact.
So, what qualifies as service? Quite a lot, actually. Cleaning up parks, volunteering at shelters, working with animals - whatever you're passionate about that helps any part of your community. Service sites can be organized to give back to any number of causes and communities. While there are several official sites across the country, you can also participate in Global Days of Service on your own. Volunteer with your employer? That counts. Volunteer at your child's school? That counts, too!We often forget how much in our everyday lives is done in service for others, and we want to recognize members of the SNHU community who devote their time and effort to giving back.
Represent SNHU by wearing your favorite Penmen gear, taking lots of photos and sharing your story. Whether you participate in an official SNHU site or volunteer on your own, share your Penmen pride and be part of SNHU Global Days of Service!
