Event details: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 | 10 am-12 pm ET | Foss Beach (Rye, New Hampshire)
What went down: On April 6, thirty-four SNHU employees and two members of the Blue Ocean Society cleaned Foss Beach in Rye, New Hampshire. The intrepid staff and alumni braved a rainy forecast. In the end, they not only avoided the rain, but picked up everything from rope to plastic cups, for a total of 263 pounds of trash. It was also an opportunity for coworkers to meet in person for the first time. Everyone had a great time!
Beach cleanups help wildlife and keep the beach safer for humans; recording what was found helps us learn about trends in marine pollution and in turn, identify solutions.
