Event details: Saturday, April 12, 2025 | 8 am-5 pm | Lichterman Nature Center (5992 Quince Road Memphis, TN 38119)
What went down: Lichterman Nature Center brings nature to life with exciting exhibits, native wildflowers and trees, and a tradition of excellence in environmental education set amidst 65 acres of lake, meadow, and forest. Volunteers helped with their annual plant sale, offering more than 150 native species. Tasks included helping with purchase check-out, organizing carts, and help with boxing and loading of small to medium size plants.
Project leader Catherine says, “I have been volunteering with Museum of Science & History (MOSH) for over two years; it is a great opportunity to facilitate the diversity of our service, building connections and contribute to our community. MOSH Nature Center grows plants in their greenhouse each year and the sale raises money for the Lichterman Nature Center Educational Program.”
