What went down: Ocean Blue Project is an environmental nonprofit founded in 2012 in Newport, Oregon by Richard and Fleet Arterbury, tribal members of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahama and father-and-son. They're on a mission to maintain safe food chains, water sources, and to enable marine life and seabirds to survive. Together, we can make our interconnected "One World Ocean" healthier for future generations and remove one million tons of plastic by 2025!
Volunteers gethered to clean up debris and trash along Long Sands Beach. Cleanups raise awareness and promote healthy environments, watersheds, and clean water projects that save the ocean from pollution.
