Alumni, Family and Friends
With spring weather finally coming alive in New England and graduation season approaching, I can’t help but think about my time at Southern New Hampshire University. My experience at SNHU ignited a drive in me to try new things and get involved on campus.
For the first time, I saw myself as a leader—someone who could lead projects and explore my passions while empowering others to do the same. I’m so thankful for the friends I made along my SNHU journey and am happy we keep in touch!
One of the highlights of my time since graduating was speaking at the Fall Leadership Conference. Connecting with current students and reconnecting with staff members who played pivotal roles in my development was such a rewarding experience. It reinforced the importance of giving back, bringing back cherished memories of attending the same conference as a student.
Looking ahead, I am excited about participating in an upcoming Global Days of Service project to build a community garden. I enjoy participating in Global Days of Service because it’s a chance for the SNHU community to make a positive impact.
I’m looking forward to staying connected with SNHU and hope you find opportunities to stay connected too!

SNHU Global Days of Service Takes Tucson
SNHU kicked off Global Days of Service with the help of University Provost and incoming President Lisa Marsh Ryerson and local SNHU community members in Tucson, Arizona. Lisa joined volunteers to assist with yard work and cleanups at two Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson locations. Check out this awesome video recap. Congratulations to the My Turn graduates!
SNHU celebrated 35 graduates of My Turn Inc., which serves economically, socially and educationally disadvantaged youth in poorer communities. In a special ceremony on Jan. 25, the graduates were celebrated for their completion of the HiSET and GED test preparation programs. These exams are recognized as an option to earn a high school equivalency certificate in the state of New Hampshire. This is the fourth graduation ceremony supported by the SNHU Community Impact and Ceremonies & Events teams.
Congratulations on a great season, men’s basketball!
The SNHU men’s basketball team recently wrapped up an explosive season, finishing with 10 straight wins to capture both the NE10 Championship and the NCAA Division II East Region Championship. With a ticket punched to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time since the 2014-15 season, the Penmen made their way to The Big Dance in Evansville, Indiana. After a valiant effort, SNHU fell to Nova Southeastern University 68-60 in the National Quarterfinals on March 26, concluding its 2023-24 season. The day before the game, the team made their impact off the court during their community engagement day, playing basketball alongside children at the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana.
