Hear from panelists who work remotely for their respective employers. In this panel, you’ll learn about the challenges, benefits and expectations that come along with a remote role from working professionals. Participants will also hear from hiring managers on how to interview effectively for remote roles. Please bring questions to ask the panelists about their personal perspectives of remote work. You can support the supply drive by purchasing items on our Amazon wish list or bringing supplies to the game. Donations can be dropped off by customer service. Global Citizens Circle: The Power of Dialogue in Building Peace Wednesday, Sept. 20 | 12-1:30 pm ET | Virtual Acclaimed Irish author, Colum McCann, will moderate a conversation with discussion leaders Arab Aramin, a Palestinian, and Yigal Elhanan, an Israeli, who are members of The Parents Circle – Families Forum. Both young men lost their sisters in the conflict but have come together in dialogue to work for peace. Their fathers, Bassam Aramin and Rami Elhanan, leaders of The Parents Circle, were the subjects of Colum McCann’s novel, Apeirogon. More information coming soon. Planning for Homecoming Weekend 2023 is underway! Be sure to mark your calendars for Oct. 13-15 for fun events happening on campus, online and on demand. Stay tuned to the SNHU alumni social media pages for updates. This year we're embracing the great outdoors with the theme "Mountains of Memories." The Fall Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, and the virtual ceremony will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9. Stay tuned for updates on the Commencement website.
Audition to Sing the National Anthem at Commencement
Auditions are now open for alumni interested in singing the U.S. National Anthem during the 2023 Fall Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Nov. 18. To be considered, please email a video of yourself singing the National Anthem to commencement@snhu.edu.
Empowering Women in the Workplace: SNHU named a “Best Employer for Women” by Forbes
Oliver Johnson ’23 of Conyers, Georgia, was accepted into the Master of Social Work program at the University of Alabama and will proudly start this fall. Woullard Lett '92 and his wife Brenda, of Manchester, New Hampshire, are proud to announce the birth of their grandchildren; Shaka Nuri in December 2020 and Ashanti Rose Lett in October 2022. Woullard also started his role as the Lay leadership ministry associate with the Unitarian Universalist Association in February 2023.
Maria Levato '22, of Princess Anne, Maryland, published her first book, The Islands of Rune, in April 2023.
Ken Martin '21, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, witnessed the start of Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour.
Hailey Tremaine '21, of Allenstown, New Hampshire, started her Master of Science in Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University in January 2023.
Jonelle Walters '23, of Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, was recently invited to join the Honor Society® in recognition of her professional experience and academic achievements.
