SNHU Homecoming 2024 Hits All the Right Notes

Honoring Professor Lyra Riabov

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of former SNHU Professor Lyra Riabov earlier this year. Through a generous gift from her husband, the Lyra Riabov Educational Scholarship has been established in her memory. This scholarship will support students pursuing degrees that lead to licensure in education, empowering the next generation of educators to make a meaningful impact—just as Professor Riabov did throughout her career. To contribute, visit the Giving SNHUdays 2024 webpage, select 'other' at checkout and write in Lyra Riabov. Thank you for celebrating Lyra’s legacy and investing in future educators.

Fall Athletics Update - Penmen in the NCAAs

It was quite a successful fall season for Penmen athletics, with three teams and two individuals qualifying for the NCAA postseason.

  • Field hockey earned its second NCAA Championship berth and fell in the national quarterfinals.
  • Men's soccer punched its ticket to the NCAA Championship for the 24th time, collecting an automatic berth after taking home its eighth NE10 title. The team earned a first-round bye and then suffered a second-round loss in penalty kicks.
  • Women's soccer extended its NCAA Championship appearance streak to seven, as it garnered its 10th berth. The squad won its opening-round contest, before losing in the second round.
  • Corrina Obernesser from women's cross country and Junior Dillon Labonte from men's cross country qualified for the NCAA National Championships in Sacramento, California.

Ways to Give Back

Giving SNHUdays 2024

In the spirit of the season, consider giving SNHU learners the gift of an education. Every donation regardless of amount illuminates the path for students to achieve their educational dreams. Now through Jan. 3, you can make a student's future brighter than ever with a Giving SNHUdays contribution.

At Southern New Hampshire University, we believe that cost should never determine whether a deserving student can pursue a university education. Whether you donate resources or your time, SNHU students are grateful for your contributions. Below are a few ways you can make an impact:

  • Volunteer with SNHU.
  • Make an annual gift to support scholarships.
  • Include SNHU in your will.

Explore these giving options and more on our website.
