Scholarships and financial aid help take away some of the financial burden on my parents.
Your scholarship donations are very much appreciated by the students (and their parents). Thank you for all that you're doing!
It was mainly the campus that did it for me, as I liked the whole vibe that comes from knowing everything is right there. The main campus is really big and there's a lot of space to just chill out.
I wanted to receive an education that would prepare me to educate the next generation of students. My college experience completely flipped with the COVID-19 pandemic.
You see the "college experience" portrayed in tons of 'coming of age' movies and growing up that's always what I thought it was going to be like. But for me its been the complete opposite. The partying isn't really that big on campus, so the atmosphere is very calm and collected. It seems like everyone is so focused when it comes to their studies.
There have been a few professors who had impacts on me, but one professor stands out from the rest. Jeremy Glines was my First Year Seminar professor and he/his class taught me many valuable lessons about people and their perceptions.
Currently at SNHU I'm involved in CAPE (Coordinators of Activities & Programming Events) and SNHU PSA (Psychology Student Association).
The most challenging thing for me is being away from my family. It's a four hour drive from NH to NY, so they really can't visit that often and I can't go home too much either. I deal with this by Facetiming and texting my parents and sister almost all the time. That way we can still catch up and I can know what's going on at home.
I'm most proud of right now are my grades. I'm also proud of constantly challenging myself to try and look at things differently - to come up with different theories and such.
I want to be involved with the SNHU community after I graduate.
