Going to college with SNHU online is a blessing. I am able to pursue my degree while working full-time and parenting my two kids, Sofia and Jack. I also love the friendly teachers and their encouragement.
The reality is I would never be able to afford my studies being a parent without financial assistance. I am beyond grateful for all the financial help I am receiving in order to attend SNHU. I grew up in poverty from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and came to the States to offer my family a better future - financial assistance make this possible. We are breaking ancestral traumas through this help in my opinion.
Thank you. Without your generous support many of us would remain in poverty and struggle to give our kids a better future. As a single dad without this support it would be tough. Also receiving a scholarship is a huge motivator for me—it keeps me striving to keep my 4.0 GPA.
The friendliness and accessibility to a single dad like me.
My hope is that my degree will result in better pay at work. At first I really imagined college to be inaccessible and hard to achieve, but SNHU has made it so much easier for me and allows me to learn at my pace.
I work in residential children's program and this inspired me to become a pediatric therapist someday.
James Lees (my admission counselor) was so inspiring and motivating. He helped me walk through all my fears and believed in me. I hope he knows how well I'm doing and that I'm enjoying my college experience.
I am so proud of my 4.0 GPA and trying to keep working hard to maintain it.
I hope to inspire more people to see college is possible.
