What made you choose Southern New Hampshire University, and what do you value most about your experience here?

I chose Southern New Hampshire University because it gave me the flexibility to earn my bachelor's degree while working full-time and supporting my family. As a military veteran and an assistant sous chef at Walt Disney World, I needed a program that fit my schedule without sacrificing the quality of my education. What I value most about SNHU is that it has challenged me to think critically, become a stronger leader, and continue growing both personally and professionally. The support from my instructors and the online learning environment have helped me stay motivated and succeed.

How do the scholarships and financial aid you receive make it possible for you to attend SNHU? How have they made a difference for you?

The scholarships and financial aid I receive have made it possible for me to continue my education while balancing the financial responsibilities of supporting my family. They reduce the stress of paying for college, allowing me to focus more on learning, maintaining strong grades, and preparing for my future career. Receiving this support also reminds me that others believe in my potential and want to see veterans like me succeed. It motivates me to work even harder and make the most of every opportunity.

What message would you like to share with the alumni and friends whose generosity made your scholarship possible?

Thank you for believing in students like me. Your generosity is making a real difference in my life and in the future of my family. As a veteran, husband, father, full-time employee, and college student, I know first-hand how meaningful your support is. I promise to honor your investment by working hard, leading with integrity, and giving back to others when I am in a position to do so. I hope that one day I can help future students the same way you have helped me.

Tell us about your journey to and through SNHU. What inspired you to pursue your degree, and what are you most proud of so far?

My journey to SNHU began with a desire to continue growing after my military service. As a U.S. Army veteran, I've always believed that learning and leadership never stop. While working full time as an assistant sous chef at Walt Disney World and supporting my family, I decided it was time to earn my bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship. I wanted to strengthen my leadership skills, expand my business knowledge, and prepare myself for future opportunities. What I'm most proud of so far is proving to myself that I can successfully balance work, family, and school while maintaining a strong academic record. Every course I complete reminds me that it's never too late to invest in yourself.

How has receiving scholarship support shaped your experience at SNHU or influenced your future plans?

Receiving scholarship support has allowed me to focus more on my education and less on the financial stress that often comes with earning a degree. It has reinforced my commitment to working hard and making the most of every opportunity. Knowing that someone believes in my potential motivates me to continue striving for excellence in my classes and in my career. This support brings me one step closer to achieving my long-term goals of advancing into executive leadership, growing businesses, and mentoring others who want to succeed.

Has a person, class, or experience at SNHU had a meaningful impact on you? Please share.

One of the most meaningful parts of my experience at SNHU has been learning how to think differently. My business courses have challenged me to analyze problems, make decisions based on data, and see opportunities from an entrepreneurial perspective. The flexibility of the program has also allowed me to apply what I learn in the classroom directly to my leadership role at work. Every class has helped me become a more confident leader, and that growth has had a positive impact on both my professional career and my personal life.
