Event details: Various dates | Families in Transition Food Pantry (176 Lake Avenue, Manchester, NH 03103)
What went down: Families in Transition (FIT) creates collaborative relationships with their clients and provides vital services to empower individuals and families. FIT believes that every person should have the support they need to meet their goals and be treated with dignity and respect on their journey. Volunteers worked in the FIT food pantry by unloading vans, sorting food and donations, stocking shelves, assisting shoppers and keeping the facilities clean.
Meet your project leader: SNHU Diversity Council member Christina Dumeng '07 '09G is your volunteer project leader for these events. The mission of the SNHU Diversity Council is to represent the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of SNHU employees. This group creates opportunities to safely and considerately discover, learn, and grow understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We seek to foster empathy, to grow awareness, and to transform the lives of our colleagues. Service is closely tied to our mission as we all grow, learn and support one another. Volunteering is a great way to develop relationships and demonstrate what it means to be co-conspirator who's truly invested in your local community. We hope you join us as we engage with this amazing organization! SNHU employees can contact DiversityCouncil@snhu.edu with questions.
