Alumni, Family and Friends
As I think back to moving onto campus and meeting classmates during student orientation, I don’t think I had any idea of how my life would be forever impacted by the SNHU community all these years later. During my undergraduate years on campus, I jumped right into everything I could to get the full college experience. From serving on the campus programming board (CAPE) to joining the Ski & Ride Club to working at The Last Chapter Pub — I was determined to get connected and involved!
This idea of connection didn’t just end when I received my diploma, but rather opened the door to volunteering and giving back to the community that helped shape my future. Back in mid-March I found myself at a meet and greet dinner in Charlotte, North Carolina with current SNHU students participating in an alternative spring break trip hosted by The Chandler Center. What an awesome opportunity it was to connect with them, learn their stories, and get a glimpse into their SNHU community.
I also had the pleasure over the last several years of working with the Alumni Engagement team to host Global Days of Service projects for SNHU students, employees, and alumni living in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. I can’t wait for these times of the year as I get to share a connection with others that light up some pretty amazing memories, all while supporting worthy local nonprofit organizations.
As SNHU’s global footprint continues to expand, the opportunity to both connect and give back increases. Whether it’s been five years or fifty years since you graduated, it’s never too late to get involved with the SNHU community! Thank you!Matt Sharp ’04 ’06GSNHU Volunteer
