Learn more: The Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Foundation is "devoted to the furtherance of educational opportunities through the granting of scholarships to those students who participate in the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, Inc.’s programs including the Miss New Hampshire Competition." 26 contestants will be competing in the Miss NH Scholarship Competition for a chance to win $60,000 worth of scholarships, and to advance to the Miss America Competition.
Volunteers are needed for multiple shifts to make this event a success. Bathrooms and parking are available on site. Snacks, drinks, and lunch/dinner will be provided. The age limit for volunteering is 13 and older. We understand that this project is happening during school vacation week so volunteers are welcome to bring their children. Children who are unable to assist with setup or breakdown are welcome to sit in the theater to read a book or watch movies. Volunteer opportunities include:
Shift 1: Friday, April 19 | 12-6 pm
Responsibilities include: Setting up a video wall, building the stage, running cables, setting up stage lighting and video equipment, and working with power tools. Previous construction experience is preferred, but not required. Volunteers are needed from 12-6 pm, but if you can only volunteer for a few hours in that timeframe, we encourage you to register. Your site leaders will connect with you to schedule your shift at a time that works best for you.
Shift 2: Saturday, April 20 | 9 am-5 pm
Responsibilities include: Building the stage, running cables, setting up stage lighting and video equipment, and working with power tools. Previous construction experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for people to volunteer in 4-hour shifts or the entire day. Your site leaders will connect with you to schedule your shift at a time that works best for you.
Shift 3: Sunday, April 28 | 8 am-5 pm
Responsibilities include: Breakdown of equipment, stage, and LED video wall. Rolling up cables and making sure all rental equipment is put away properly. Volunteers are needed from 8 am-5 pm, but if you can only volunteer for a few hours in that timeframe, we encourage you to register. Your site leaders will connect with you to schedule your shift at a time that works best for you.
