What Happened: Unfortunately, this project was cancelled due to inclement weather. We had hoped to have volunteers help with trail maintenance, and bridge construction in SNHU's own Arboretum. We hope to offer this project in the future.
With over 300 acres of wooded, riverside property to work with, developing the SNHU Arboretum seemed like an obvious way to give students the opportunity for experiential learning right here on campus. Since 2014, students have spent an estimated 2,000 hours of STEM-centric learning within the space, and the Arboretum has welcomed community members ranging from middle school students to state foresters to campus.
Share Your Story: Remember to use #ServeWithSNHU to join the movement, and share your experience on social media throughout the event! You are always welcome give us more details on the Share My Story page.
Ask Questions: SNHU on-campus student Rachel Hagen was the volunteer project leader for this event. If you have general questions about SNHU Global Days of Service, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement. Check out more ways to get engaged with the SNHU community!
