I choose SNHU because the second I walked onto campus everyone - I mean EVERYONE, from teachers to athletes - had smiles on their faces and were so friendly. Visually, it blew all other colleges that I had visited that far out of the water. The green light for me, though, was small class size, especially coming from a very small town graduating with only 36 kids.
My hopes in receiving my bachelors are that I can enjoy, understand and be part of something larger then I have ever been involved in before.
Without scholarships and financial aid, my career at SNHU would not be possible. SNHU works with the students to help them to continue their education, and the faculty doesn’t rest until they have looked into everything possible to help you.
The people that you meet at SNHU are one of a kind. The friends I have made here make the idea of not returning impossible to fathom. Being friends with such a diverse group of people, from athletes to musicians, has opened my eyes to such a diverse group of friends. As far as professors, Dr. Lowell Matthews was the reason that I decided to connect Business Administration with Human Resources. He teaches and involves students in ways that I’ve never seen anyone teach before. He genuinely cares about his students and would do anything to see his students succeed.
SNHU has helped me grow and transform into the women that was always hiding within me, I just didn’t know if I would ever be given the tools to find her. The friends I’ve made and the staff at SNHU has showed me that nothing is too hard to overcome when you have people who are willing to help you reach your dreams.
The classes that SNHU offers help show you many different fields you can go into and what you can use your degree for. I always loved problem solving, helping people and human behavior; Dr. Matthews showed me that Human Resources is the field for me.
When I graduate from SNHU, I plan to be working for a large organization within the HR department. I would love to travel the world with a company and see different parts of the world and expand my horizons. Although I have lived in New York for my entire life, my dreams are to eventually move to the West coast, still working in an HR department and settle down to start a family.
As an alumna, I would hope and love to visit SNHU in the future to see how the campus has expanded and grown since my time here. I will whole-heartedly want to financially support students by adding to scholarships that SNHU offers. I would love to help and continue to show that SNHU is an amazing place to attend college and grow into the person they know they can be.
Thank you. I’m sure they don’t hear it that often, but as someone who has received some of these scholarships, they really do help in continuing my education. Without these people, I’m sure there would be many students unable to attend SNHU, but because of these amazing people, students like me take a step closer to their dreams every day!
College is a new start, so break out of the shell you’ve been in for so long and try something new! Join a club, go to a SNHU soccer game, and don’t be scared to take chances! Your time here is going to fly by, so don’t blink because before you know it, its over!
