Mark Haddad '01 '11G moderated a fascinating conversation centering primarily on B2C (business-to-consumer) application and mobile website development. The conversation flowed from the initial concept, to target demographic, to usability and what to consider when bringing an app or mobile website to market. Tim Thyne '13 added his expertise in the start-up app sector that centered around customer acquisition and loyalty followers, and Jordan Remmes '08 rounded out the panel with her experience with SEO (search engine optimization), Google Analytics, and how to utilize tools such as heat maps to identify potential problems and opportunities that will increase the usability for the mobile customer.
Mark Haddad '01 '11G, Sales & Marketing Lead, Slalom Consulting
Mark Haddad is a Director at Boston-based Slalom Consulting, running the Sales and Marketing teams. Slalom is a business and technology consulting company that builds and design systems and strategies to solve complex problems. Prior to that role, Mark was a national senior consultant on the Customer Insight and Innovation team creating the sales and marketing practices and customer engagement offerings. Mark has led and sold a prior venture called Zingr Communications. He is a mobile junkie and loves to think about how mobile tools can support businesses and consumers in innovative ways.
Jordan Remmes '08, Digital Marketing Specialist, Pixel Media
Jordan Remmes is a Digital Marketing Specialist at PixelMEDIA in Portsmouth, NH. Her specialties include Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics, and Social Media Marketing. Jordan holds a B.A. Communications from SNHU and will complete her M.S. Marketing, with a Certificate in Social Media Marketing, at SNHU in January 2016. Jordan lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Dan Remmes '07, '09, and their two daughters, Ella and Rory.
Tim Thyne '13, Co-founder, Adored
Tim Thyne is the co-founder of Adored, a loyalty experience platform that is strengthening the relationships users have with the businesses they visit and brands they love. The Adored app uses iBeacon indoor location technology to automatically reward customers and immerse them in experiences that enhance each visit. Since launching in October of 2014 the app has been downloaded over 14,000 times, is being used by over 70 locations throughout New Hampshire and Maine, and has raised $2.3M in funding. Prior to starting Adored Tim was a marketing consultant at the Cambridge based software company HubSpot. Tim is a graduate of the Three Year Honors Program at Southern New Hampshire University.
