Historically, finance and financial management of a company were considered “back of the house” concepts and operations. Through the '90’s and '00’s, that notion started to shift and some companies were moving their finance departments to the heart of the organization. Still many companies lag in this notion. With the ever evolving workplace in mind, we will discuss in this session: why is it important to manage the finances from the heart of the organization? And what considerations can be made in regard to entrepreneurs, remote organizations, and outsourcing finance functions to bring this function out of the back office and help companies grow and maintain success?
