Penmen Pride with an intriguing twist! This fun networking night brought together SNHU alumni, students, faculty, and staff at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. Special guests included campus students in town for an Alternative Break experience, as well as speakers Dr. Gwen Britton (Executive Director of SNHU Online STEM Programs), Gregg Kendrick '08MBA (Executive Director of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command), and Adrian Haugabrook (Chief of Staff at SNHU).

Gregg Kendrick '08MBAExecutive Director, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command
Gregg R. Kendrick currently serves as the Executive Director, Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace command. Before this billet, he served as the U.S. Cyber Command Deputy Director to the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in Chantilly, Virginia. He established and manages the Office of Campaign Coordination within NCIJTF, facilitating whole-of-government initiatives against advanced persistent threats in the cyber domain. Previously with U.S. Cyber Command, Mr. Kendrick served as the Senior Technical Advisor in the J3, Future Operations Deputy Directorate, as an U.S. Air Force civilian, and as contract support to Joint Functional Component Command – Network Warfare, and U.S. Cyber Command. Mr. Kendrick served operational and combat duty from 1989 to 2009. He graduated Virginia Military Institute/ROTC, holds a MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and completed the Seminar XXI program administered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Gwen BrittonExecutive Director, SNHU Online STEM Programs
Dr. Britton has over 25 years in both private industry and academia within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) space. Dr. Britton has worked in varying positions spanning a gamut of content areas including software engineering, systems administration, network administration, data analysis, database administration and design, web development engineering, cyber-defense, mathematics, and computer science. Dr. Britton’s expertise is in the area of leadership and STEM education and administration. Dr. Britton has served as the Executive Director of STEM Programs at SNHU for the past five years. In her current role, she is passionate about expanding and growing STEM opportunities and access for individuals who otherwise would not have an opportunity to pursue a career in STEM area. She has helped grow opportunities for non-traditional adult students from under-represented populations by spear heading virtual experiential learning opportunities and competitions in areas such as technology certification preparation, data analysis, internet of things and capture the flag. She has also helped organize and participate in events focused on under-represented k-12 student populations to engage and interest future STEM students in the field through events such as the hour of code and the science of soccer.
Dr. Britton is a strong advocate of women in technical fields. As such, Dr. Britton and her team taken a group of graduate and undergraduate female students to the Grace Hopper and Women in Cyber Security conferences for the past several years. This initiative has helped shape and expand the pipeline of future technology and cyber security graduates.
