Alumni, Family and Friends
The health, safety, and wellbeing of the SNHU community is of the utmost importance to us, and we are closely monitoring developments regarding the coronavirus. Starting March 16, SNHU is cancelling all in-person events, and the 2020 Tory C. Marandos Entrepreneurial Challenge has been postponed. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
Thank you those who submitted a business plan for the competition this year. Please note that Dr. Sophia Koustas will be in contact once the situation has settled and a new date for the competition has been identified.
In the meantime, here are some resources that may be of value to our entrepreneurial community:
New Hampshire-based entrepreneurs with exemplary business ideas may submit a concept paper to the Tory C. Marandos Entrepreneurship Challenge, for a grand prize of $5,000 from the Tory C. Marandos Foundation. All active and start-up businesses in New Hampshire, with less than three years in business, are eligible to participate. New Hampshire entrepreneurs who have not yet started a business but have an idea are also encouraged to participate. Interested entrepreneurs are required to submit a two-page business concept paper in PDF format during the submission period.
The competition is named after the late entrepreneur Tory Marandos, an enterprising and caring young man who went above and beyond for his friends, family and anyone who came into his life.
“Entrepreneurship is at the heart of everything we do at Southern New Hampshire University – it’s part of our DNA,” said SNHU Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff Don Brezinski. “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue our partnership with the Marandos family to offer this opportunity to showcase some of the best and brightest business ideas in the state.”
