What Happened: The 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge was thought provoking and educational. Amidst a global pandemic, participants welcomed the daily routine of reading various articles or watching short video clips and diving deeper into racial equity in our food systems. Even better, the information was all provided in a way that is flexible and allows participants to fit it into their lives. From this video around “doing race” to examining food sovereignty through this short article, the activities deepened their understanding of these issues and through the online discussion forum, gave them the opportunity to further process and connect with others in this somewhat isolating time.
