ART NABE Event Support - Manchester, NH

An SNHU Global Days of Service Official Project

Event details: Saturday, April 1 | 4:30-10:30 pm | Walker Auditorium, Robert Frost Hall (SNHU, 2500 North River Road, Manchester, NH)

What went down: ART NABE is a pop-up arts market infused with local heart and soul, aiming to ignite a robust, inclusive, and dynamic community of local creative genius in Manchester, NH. In partnership with SNHU, ART NABE showcased local performing artists who are using their voices to appreciate women on stage at Celebrate HER – A Night of Appreciation. Guests were illuminated and immersed in the sounds of R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, and Afrobeats.

Volunteer roles included:

• “NABE”ORHOOD Aesthetic Crew: Provide on-site maintenance and preserve the aesthetic of the event. Encourage those around you to dispose of their waste and/or belongings in the proper manner. 
• “NABE”ORHOOD Go-Getter (Site Operations/Hospitality): Help with the logistics of Celebrate HER and the ART NABE team, partners, and performing artists. Your role is to go and help wherever needed but primarily to ensure performing artists are comfortable throughout the event. 
• “NABE”ORHOOD Expert (Guest Services/Credentials): Check in event patrons, supply wristbands, and provide information about event offerings and performances.
• “NABE”ORHOOD Watch (Security): As the eyes and ears of Celebrate HER you are responsible for making sure patrons, other volunteers and performers are directed to the appropriate spaces. If you see something say something to the ART NABE team and campus police on duty.
