Event details: Friday, April 19, 2024 | AM Shift: 9 am-12 pm & PM Shift: 12:30-2:30 pm | New Hampshire Food Bank (700 East Industrial Park Drive, Manchester, NH)
Learn more: The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, serves as the only food bank in the state, working to provide nutritious food and resources to the hundreds of thousands of New Hampshire residents that are food insecure. The Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food annually to more than 400 partner agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more.
The Food Bank's kitchen produces about 4,000 meals per week, thanks to the assistance of volunteers. Volunteers helped to prepare congregate meals for the registered agencies of the NH Food Bank. Specific tasks included prepping, washing, cutting and cooking food, washing dishes, and additional duties to ensure meals got out the door. Thanks to the SNHU community members who showed up to make this project a success.
