Learn more: Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. It's essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. One donation has the potential to save three lives. Supplies are critically low right now and the medical community is urging healthy, eligible donors to consider giving blood. Thanks to all of the SNHU community members who scheduled a time to donate!
Meet your project leader: SNHU staff member and alumna Lauren Maynard '17 is your volunteer project leader for this event. If you have general questions about SNHU Global Days of Service, please contact Alumni Engagement. Check out more ways to get engaged with the SNHU community!

Additional Locations for Local Donations
When you consider where to donate blood, keep in mind the value of donating locally. While many of these organizations do have local donation centers available, there are often smaller organizations that are just as much in need.
In addition to these resources, also consider viewing websites like BloodBanker.com where you can join a community of people working together to increase blood donation awareness. You can also use the website's tools to help you to find local organizations collecting and in need of donations.
