Event details: Tuesday, April 30, 2024 | 10 am-12 pm | Foss Beach (Rye, NH)
Learn more: Volunteers gathered to collect trash and record their findings - contributing to a long-term study on marine pollution. Beach cleanups help wildlife and keep the beach safer for humans; the information recorded helps us learn about trends in marine pollution and in turn, identify solutions.
Blue Ocean Society provided a short introduction at the beginning about marine debris and why it’s important that we gather this beach debris data. At the end of the cleanup, the group weighed the trash and discussed what was found.
