Event details: Wednesday, April 17, 2024 | 10 am-12 pm | Hampton Beach (Hampton, NH)
Learn more: Volunteers gathered to collect trash and record their findings. In addition, beach cleanups help wildlife and keep the beach safer for humans; the information recorded by Blue Ocean Society contributes to a long-term study on marine polution and helps us learn about trends and in turn, identify solutions.
Project leaders reported back: "Our beach clean up was amazing! We had such an amazing group and cleaned up about 20 lbs. of trash. Jen also called NH Fish and Game because we found a massive lobster trap that was stuck on the beach. They were so grateful. We walked along all of Hampton and found unique trash that we documented."
