Event details: Saturday, April 5, 2025 | 1-3 pm | Crisis Assistance Ministry (500-A Spratt St., Charlotte, NC 28206)
Learn more: Crisis Assistance Ministry assists and advocates for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency. The Crisis Assistance Ministry operates a Free Store, which offers clothing, shoes, and household items free-of-charge to people in Mecklenburg County. By offering these necessary items for free, shoppers can redirect their limited resources toward maintaining housing, utilities, and other basic needs. Volunteers are needed to help sort and inspect donated items, size and hang clothing, and stock goods.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Parking onsite is limited, with more availability on weekends. There is a bus stop in front of the facility. Disposable gloves will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle to fill. Restroom facilities are available to volunteers.
