Learn more: The mission of Dismas of Vermont, Inc. is to reconcile former prisoners with society and society with former prisoners. Dismas House provides transitional housing for formerly incarcerated people and recruits university students and international volunteers to live in the house. The primary activity of this project is to prepare a meal and bring conversation and community to a family-style meal with the residents of the house. Volunteers may donate items toward the meal if they are able to do so, though this is not a requirement to participate. The project leader will be in touch ahead of time to coordinate the meal arrangements.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Parking is available across the street.
