Learn more: The Out of the Darkness Walk is an on-campus event to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. It unites communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about. Participants could create a team, join a team, or donate to the cause.
The walk route will be approximately 1.5 miles. The route does not include stairs but does include some inclined ramps. Everyone is welcome at this event. Bathrooms and parking will be available on site. Walk is rain or shine; event will move indoors to the Hospitality Center in case of inclement weather. Registration begins at 9 am; walk starts at 10 am. Light refreshments provided. Please follow campus parking rules and check the campus map for lot locations.
