Learn more: In partnership with the Friends of Piscataquog River Park and the Audubon Society, volunteers are needed to prepare the new pollinator garden site, which will be installed in June. Tasks will include raking debris (vines, leaves, and fallen branches), creating brush piles, and digging up knotweed.
Volunteers must be aged 18 or older. Supplies will be brought by the project leader. Snacks, drinks and a pizza lunch provided. The group will meet and park at the George W. Smith entrance (300 Precourt Street), which is by the baseball field, behind the soccer fields. There is plenty of parking available.
