Event details: Friday, March 7, 2025 | 9 am-12 pm | UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center (153 Paige Hill Road, Goffstown, NH 03045)
Learn more: UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to inspiring hope, fostering independence, and improving the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of individuals with and without disabilities by partnering with the power of the horse. We’re looking for volunteers to help with a Barn Maintenance Day. Tasks may include sweeping the arena walls; cleaning tack and driving harnesses; organizing and cleaning brushes; ensuring brush boxes are fully stocked; and general housekeeping throughout the barn. This is a great opportunity to support the facility, keep the barn in top shape, and care for a space that serves the community.
The minimum age to volunteer at UpReach is 14. Anyone over 18 will need to sign the one-day liability release form on the date of the project; volunteers younger than 18 will need a parent/guardian to sign the paperwork.
Volunteers should bring a water bottle and work gloves, if they can. For safety and comfort, volunteers should dress in layers, wearing weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty. Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes or boots are a must. Tie back long hair, avoid dangling jewelry and pants that drag on the ground.
The speed limit is 5mph as there are often horses moving about. As you enter UpReach property, you will come down the driveway. At the fork, the blue Hope Building will be on your right. Bear left, keeping the large arena on your right. You will begin seeing cars parked along the tree line on your left. Parking anywhere along the tree line is fine!
