Alumni, Family and Friends
What Happened: Volunteers on this project served 24 clients throughout the 6 routes that they covered. Volunteers delivered and helped put away groceries, had a chance to visit for a few minutes and check in to make sure they were doing well. Adequate nutrition is a very real issue for the vulnerable people we serve. Subsisting on small fixed incomes, they often choose between filling prescriptions, heating their homes or having food in their cabinets. These choices are made easier through The CareGivers Caring Cupboard. From the taking and packing of individualized food orders to the personally delievered groceries, this program is totally volunteer driven. Check out the 2018 Global Days of service Google album to see photos from this project.
