What Happened: Volunteers helped fulfill many needs throughout Cycle the Seacoast! From food stations and course set-up, to route marshals and rest stops, volunteers and participants had a great time despite the rain. One volunteer, Elizabeth Pockl shared her experience with us: "The Cycle the Seacoast rest stop kept peddling smoothly all morning with the help of Jennie Tybursky, Kendra Davis, and myself, along with other wonderful community volunteers. As cyclists rode up to the rest stop, we were greated with tired faces, which quickly changed to smiles as they grabbed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We made sure they had plently of water for the final 25 or 75 mile ride ahead of them. We cheered on the riders, and thanked them for their dedication to help fight against lung cancer." This year, Cycle the Seacoast surpassed their fundraising goal with $102,659.51 raised. For photos from this project, check out the 2018 Global Days of Service Google album.
