What Went Down: The event held on Saturday, April 15 for DreamCatchers NH was created by SNHU students as a means to bring together individuals of various abilities for a day of fun art activities. Roughly 30 members of DreamCatchers were in attendance. The event helped the organization share their mission with community and provided the opportunity for SNHU students and volunteers to connect with members of DreamCatchers and each other.
DreamCatchers New Hampshire is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides social and personal growth opportunities for individuals with learning and developmental challenges. SNHU students from Chris Matthews' OL 342 class worked with DreamCatchers as a service learning project throughout the semester. After learning about this organization, SNHU students pulled together the Drawing Dreams Friend-Raiser, a day dedicated to pulling together participants from various DreamCatchers chapters throughout Southern New Hampshire to focus on art and to meet each other.
Share Your Story: Remember to use #ServeWithSNHU to join the movement and share your experience on social media throughout the event, and you can always give us more details on the Share My Story page. You can also get some super cool SNHU swag (order by May 7!) to make sure those photo opps are full of Penmen Pride! And, feel free to view and add your photos to the official SNHU Global Days of Service photo album on Google Photos!
